How far in advance should I call a moving company?

The sooner, the better. With more time available, we are more likely to be able to meet your desired delivery schedule. If you decided to move, get in touch with us and see why are we the most reliable company in moving business. 

When is the best time of year to move?

The busiest time in moving is during summer - from May to September. In these months the volume of shipments is especially heavy, so we suggest opting for non-summer months if you need flexibility with your delivery.

What is considered to be a state to state move?

Every move that starts in one state and finishes in another is considered to be a state to state move. Unlike local moves, state to state moving is all about setting up a plan and finding good ways to reduce your moving costs.

How long does it take to move?

Duration of the move depends on many factors such as the time of the year, the size of your shipment, weather conditions, the time required for packing, loading and unloading and of course the distance your shipment needs to travel.

Do I need an estimate?

Can you help me with the packing and unpacking?

Sure! It’s completely up to you to pack as much or as little as you want. Our professional packers are here to help you out with this phase of your move. Be sure that each and every item will be wrapped, protected, boxed, labeled and treated like it was our own.

Can you store my belongings?

Of course, in case that you’re not able to take your belongings to your new location, we can store your items in our secured warehouse until you’re all settled in at your new home. 

Can I ride in the moving truck with the movers?

Due to safety reasons, we can’t offer to transport you in our moving trucks. You’re welcome to follow our moving truck in your own vehicle.

What forms of payment do you accept?

At State to State Movers, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover, cash or cashier’s check.

Can you move my car?

Yes, prior to deciding what is the best transportation option for your vehicle, talk to our experts and make a decision based on your car’s specification and needs. Can you help me crate my items for a safe transport?

We offer custom crating services that will fit your precious belongings like a glove and ensure that everything stays intact during the long distance transport. Our experienced handy staff will design perfect personalized wooden crates, which are easy to load/unload, durable and sturdy.

How will you store my things?

State to State Movers have state-of-the-art storage facilities in over 50 locations across the US, so your personal belongings can be packed and shipped to our warehouse facility for as long as you wish. Our hand-picked responsible staff conduct regular daily inspections to ensure that all units are completely dry and aired. We are proud to have brand new, reliable surveillance systems so we don’t take our eyes off your valuable items.

Can I move my house plants?

House plants can not be transported if you are moving across state lines due to different federal and state regulations for quarantines.

Can you move my pets?

Unfortunately, we can’t move your pets in our trucks. Your pets would feel more comfortable in your family car as this would be a fun and bonding experience for everyone.
Tip: For many pets sticking their head outside of the window is the highlight of any journey, but this is really dangerous for them. Your pets can easily be injured by flying road debris, thus make sure to protect them at all times. 

Are you licensed?

Yes, State to State Movers has been issued a certificate of authority to move vehicles and household goods between any of the fifty states by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). Our certificate is: US DOT 2813699.
